Our passion: Maple Syrup
While local agriculture is at the heart of our passion, maple syrup production holds a special place.
One of the owners, Luc, has more than 30 years of experience in the maple production field. He began his journey in a factory specializing in maple syrup production equipment before entering the production world. He has always had support for his passions from his wife and co-owner, Nicole.
He fostered that same passion in the hearts of his children, who today sell maple production equipment and help with the farm.
We always have the quality of the product in our hearts and love to share it with our visitors all year long.
Our sugar bush
At the Bleuetière Giard, we have a sugar bush of about 8000 spouts. It can be seen on both sides of the second blueberry field. We collect our maple sap through a system of tubes and use the finest technology available to ensure quality production.
We are always conscious of the health of our trees and our forest. We follow the recommendations made by the PPAQ (Producteur et Productrice Acéricole du Québec) as well as we continue to learn about maple through the latest research, available notably from the Centre Acer.
Our Sugar Shack
Once the maple sap has reached our sugar shack, we use the best technology to transform it into delicious maple syrup.
We have, in our sugar shack, a commercial kitchen to make our products, such as maple toffee, maple butter cones, and maple pies. All of these products can be bought at the boutiques on the farm.
Organic maple syrup
At the Bleuetière Giard, our maple syrup is certified organic with Écocert Canada. We follow the norms for the health of the forest and for our production that are stricter for the environment and for the health of our consumers. We are proud to offer this quality product to our visitors.
